Sedation Dentistry

Whether you have a little something you want fixed like a broken tooth or years of ‘little somethings,’ we can help you with sedation dentistry. Perhaps you're one of the many people who are afraid of the dentist. You're not alone. Fear keeps nearly one third of all Americans away from the dentist. If fear is your problem, we have a safe solution.

With sedation dentistry you don’t have to endure multiple visits to enjoy better oral health and a healthier, more confident smile. Even if you have neglected your teeth for years and need much work, sedation dentistry offers a solution you can smile about. We use safe oral sedation – you take a pill at the office one hour before your treatment to completely relax you for up to six hours – so you don’t feel any pain or anxiety. You won’t lose consciousness, but you will be in a “groggy” state during your treatment.

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays

Sometimes, teeth have cavities too large to be restored with just a filling. A filling can restore the part of the tooth lost to decay, but it doesn’t add strength to the tooth. That’s where onlays and inlays come in – as wonderful options for restoring teeth that have suffered extensive decay or trauma. They add strength, protect the biting surface and are easy to care for.

Porcelain inlays are similar in size and shape to fillings. Porcelain onlays are similar to crowns. Instead of covering the entire tooth, however, onlays cover only the biting surfaces. They create tighter seals and strengthen the teeth. Onlays and inlays can be done in one appointment. And, since they do not contact the gums, they make it easier to keep teeth plaque-free along the gum line
